According to American history, car license plates and the state flag, North Carolina was FIRST IN FREEDOM, in 1776. Today the state of North Carolina continues the battle for our country’s freedoms by hosting seven major fighting forces.
NC Military: U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force, and the North Carolina National Guard. Today the weapon of choice is not the musket, but hypersonic missiles, quantum camouflage and armed robotic systems.
“The Tip of the Spear” is a new feature length documentary focusing on amazing stories of men and women who fought for our freedoms from WW2 through the Global War on Terror from bases in North Carolina. These are the stories that must be told in order to appreciate our freedoms today.
Our documentary will inform North Carolina citizens and the American Public about the incredible history and strategic position our NC military bases provide to our nation. In particular, we will mention Fort Liberty-home to the XVII Airborne Corps, Camp Lejeune-the largest group of Marines and sailors in the world, and Seymour Johnson Air Base, home of the F15 Strike Eagles.
It will educate our NC Legislators about the $66 Billion impact of military-related activities to our state’s economy and thousands of jobs for the military and defense contractors. The workforce provided by military families and veterans is vital to the many growing industries in the state. NC Representatives need to continue legislation that supports our military and their families.
Our film will send a critical message to the new Secretary of Defense, U.S. Congress, and military leaders regarding the importance of N.C. military bases to our National Security. When the Nation needs a quick response, you call on Marines at Camp Lejeune and Special Operations forces at Fort Liberty.
Seven stories with one purpose: to highlight the crucial importance of these military installations for National Security and NC Economy. We will give six or seven minutes to each participant to tell their story: past, present, and future.
It's not about the war, it's about the warrior.
Documentaries start with great interviews - from the military historians, base commanders and unsung heroes of the day. Added to that are the incredible visuals we will obtain through never seen before archival footage, up close and personal military training exercises and futuristic computer animation.
Each military service has played an integral part in America's defense since World War Two.
Each with its own story to tell. Some stories you will hear for the very FIRST time.

It takes a lot of training necessary to be the strongest military force in the world.
Visual elements include Marines performing amphibious training exercises at Camp Lejeune, paratroopers deploying over the drop zone at Fort Liberty, or F-15 Strike Eagle maneuvers in the air over Seymour Johnson Air Force base.
Todays's military is a very technical force. These highly trained men and women are next generation experts in drones, robots and cyber security. And always adapting and innovating.
Because this technology may also be in the hands of our opponents, our future leaders will learn how to apply our capabilities better and more creatively than our enemies.
From those seven short videos, we will compile them into a cohesive one hour documentary suitable for streaming and broadcast on NetFlix, Amazon Prime Video, PBS and all North Carolina TV stations.
